The Grove Zero Temperature Sensor measures the ambient temperature, in Celsius degree (°C) by default. The temperature sensor can convert detected ambient temperature into digital signals that can be read by the microcontroller for calculating the temperature.

It has a measurement range from -25 to 100 °C, with accuracy to ±2 °C. If the temperature is below a specified, adjustable value, it is called a low threshold, and you know that the environment is currently cold; if it is above the value, then it is called a high threshold and you know the environment is regarded as hot.
